Wow, what a surprise in the Dutch entertainment world! After five successful years, Hans Klok is ending his popular dinner show VEGAS at The Harbour Club Theater in Amsterdam.
But the good news is that the show goes on. Hans Klok is passing the torch to two fresh, talented new faces: the young illusionist Nigel Otermans (only 24 years old!) and the amazing singer Glennis Grace. Starting in April, Nigel will take over the illusion segment. As the Dutch Champion of Illusionism and someone already well-known to the audience at The Harbour Club, he seems like the perfect successor for that magical part of the show.
Starting in August, Glennis Grace will be bringing a healthy dose of soul and power to the show. She will be performing in the production through June 2027 and gave a sneak peek of what’s to come on Friday.
It’s a brilliant and refreshing choice. Hans Klok has truly put VEGAS on the map as a full-length evening experience featuring dinner, illusions, and entertainment. Now the show is getting a fresh start: Nigel’s youth and energy combined with Glennis’s experience and voice. It promises to be a wonderful blend of wonder, emotion, and spectacle.
For Hans’s fans, it will naturally take some getting used to, but it feels like a natural transition rather than an abrupt ending. The dinner show will remain in the same familiar setting in Amsterdam East, but with a new cast that’s sure to deliver just as many wow moments.
I’m curious to hear what you all think. Are you going to see Hans’s final show one more time, or are you waiting for the new version with Nigel and Glennis? In any case, I’m curious to see how they’ll pull it off. Magic and music… that can’t really go wrong, can it?
